WHEREAS the Environment Agency have submitted to the Secretary of State for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, for confirmation of an Orders made by them under section 154 and 156 of the Water Resources Act 1991 in conjunction with section 10 and 18 of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975, section 37 of the Environment Act 1995 and relevant provisions of the Acquisition of Land Act 198, which would authorise them to acquire compulsorily the land and new rights over land referred to in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of or in connection with the carrying out of their functions, namely:

a) The construction of four fish passes adjacent to Bevere weir, Diglis weir, Holt weir and Lincomb weir on the River Severn; and



b) The maintenance of these fish passes.



NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public local inquiry into this matter will be held by the Planning Inspectorate at the Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive Pershore WR10 beginning on 25 September 2018 starting at 10:00am.

The Environment Agency (Unlocking the River Severn) (Bevere) Compulsory Purchase Order 2018 Description of land and the new rights

1. Land to be acquired:



All interests in 3,685 square metres of agricultural pasture land and river bank of the River Severn and all interests in 560 square metres of river bed of the River Severn.

2. New rights to be acquired (New rights over):



? 5,645 square metres of arable and pasture land with hedgerows (near Hawford Lock Lane) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, and to use part of the land as a temporary compound, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 3,135 square metres of arable land, hedgerows, amenity woodland and track to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 25,410 square metres of agricultural pasture land on the bank of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation), and to use the land as a temporary compound, in connection with the construction of the fish pass;



? 1,455 square metres of river bed of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation), and the right to moor vessels, for all purposes in connection with the construction, maintenance, inspection and repair of the fish pass;



? 1,095 square metres of agricultural pasture land and track (near the River Severn) for access by foot and vehicle for all purposes in connection with the inspection, maintenance and repair of the fish pass;



? 295 square metres of agricultural pasture land to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) in connection with the excavation of a pond extension;



? 1,650 square metres of agricultural pasture land on the bank of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and to use the land as a temporary compound, in connection with the construction, maintenance, inspection and repair of the fish pass;



? 1,260 square metres of river bank and river bed of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and the right to moor vessels, for all purposes in connection with the construction, maintenance, inspection and repair of the fish pass;



? 1,130 square metres of agricultural land adjacent to River Severn to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 60 square metres of driveway/track (adjoining Bevere Manor East) for access by foot and vehicle for all purposes in connection with the inspection, maintenance and repair of the fish pass; and



? 155 square metres of driveway/track (adjoining Bevere Manor East) for access by foot and vehicle for all purposes in connection with the inspection, maintenance and repair of the fish pass

1. Land to be acquired:



All interests in 1,615 square metres of conifer woodland, public footpath on river bank and river bed of the River Severn; and 150 square metres of river bed of the River Severn.

2. New rights to be acquired (New rights over):



? 330 square metres of public footpath (Kingfisher Path, east of Bromwich Road) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 525 square metres of public footpath (Kingfisher Path, east of Bromwich Road) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 3,245 square metres of sports ground and hedgerow to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 140 square metres of scrub land and hedgerow to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 5,865 square metres of scrub land and hedgerow to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation), and to use the land as a temporary compound, in connection with the construction of the fish pass;



? 505 square metres of conifer woodland and track to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 1,905 square metres of conifer woodland, public footpath and river bank and bed of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and the right to moor vessels, in connection with the construction of the fish pass and in connection with the inspection maintenance and repair of the fish pass;



? 1,805 square metres of river bank and river bed of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation), and the right to moor vessels, in connection with the construction of the fish pass and in connection with the inspection maintenance and repair of the fish pass;



? 125 square metres of woodland and river bank adjacent to the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) in connection with the construction, maintenance, inspection and repair of the fish pass;



? 40 square metres of tarmac track (public footpath adjacent to the River Severn) to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) in connection with the construction, maintenance, inspection and repair of the fish pass; and



? 3,680 square metres of tarmac track (public footpath adjacent to the River Severn) for access by foot and vehicle for all purposes in connection with the inspection, maintenance and repair of the fish pass.

1. Land to be acquired:



All interests in 1,495 square metres of amenity woodland, tracks, river bank and river bed of the River Severn.

2. New rights to be acquired (New rights over):



? 300 square metres of agricultural land (near The Lenchford Inn) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 6,190 square metres agricultural land and river bank and bed of the River Severn (near The Lenchford Inn) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, to enter and undertake works and to use the land as a temporary compound, and the right to moor vessels, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 4,335 square metres of amenity woodland, river bank and river bed of the River Severn to moor vessels, and construct (including any necessary vegetation clearance) and use an access by foot, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass and in connection with the inspection, maintenance and repair of the fi sh pass;



? 4,715 square metres of amenity woodland, tracks, river bank and river bed of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation), and the right to moor vessels, for all purposes in connection with the construction of the fish pass and in connection with the inspection, maintenance and repair of the fish pass;



? 1,380 of amenity woodland, tracks, river bank and river bed of the River Severn for access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the inspection, maintenance and repair of the fish pass; and



? 525 square metres of amenity woodland, river bank and river bed of the River Severn to moor vessels, enter to undertake works, construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the construction, inspection, maintenance and repair of the fish pass.



The Environment Agency (Unlocking the River Severn) (Lincomb) Compulsory Purchase Order 2018 Description of land and the new rights

1. Land to be acquired:



All interests in: 145 square metres of river bank of the River Severn; 405 square metres of river bank and river bed of the River Severn; and 1,035 square metres of amenity land, river bank and river bed of the River Severn.

2. New rights to be acquired (New rights over):



? 3,350 square metres of amenity woodland, track and industrial yard (near Larford Lane) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 3,635 square metres of scrub land and track (north of Larford Farm Barns) to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation), and to use the land as a temporary compound, in connection with the construction of the fish pass;



? 1,760 square metres of track bordering wooded area and scrub land to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 1,835 square metres of track bordering wooded area and scrub land (north of Larford Farm Barns) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an alternative access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 55 square metres of road access and grass verge (north of Larford Farm Barns) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an alternative access by foot and with vehicles, for all purposes in connection with the works for the construction of the fish pass;



? 1,070 square metres of amenity woodland, river bank and river bed of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation), and the right to moor vessels, in connection with the construction, maintenance, inspection and repair of the fish pass;

? 40 square metres forming part of road access and grass verge at (Larford Farm Barns) to construct (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and use an alternative access by foot and with vehicles for all purposes in connection with the construction of the fish pass, and for access by foot and with vehicles for all purposes in connection with the inspection, maintenance and repair of the fish pass; and



? 1,340 square metres of river bank and bed of the River Severn to enter and undertake works (including any necessary clearance of vegetation) and the right to moor vessels, in connection with the construction, maintenance, inspection and repair of the fish pass.
