Tremahaid Road, Welsh Newton Temporary Closure Order 2018

Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the U71214, Tremahaid Road, Welsh Newton Temporary Closure Order 2018

to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles from the entrance to Penblaith Farm to the entrance to Treworgan OS Grid Ref: 349984/219725. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A466 onto the U71217 Park Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the installation of new overhead powerline works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 22nd September 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
