(REAR MEDOMSLEY ROAD, CONSETT) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018

(REAR MEDOMSLEY ROAD, CONSETT) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council on 16/8/18 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 15 mtr length of Medomsley Rd to the rear of no. 37, Consett to enable essential building maintenance works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available via front Medomsley Rd. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 28/8/18 and anticipated to be completed in 4 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
The Council proposes to make the following 4 Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1):
(LINTZ LANE, BURNOPFIELD) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The effect will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 645 mtr length of Lintz Ln that extends northwards from Upper Lintz Farm, Burnopfield to enable improvement works (surfacing, drainage & vegetation cut-back) to be undertaken. Alternative route available from the southern side of the closure from A692 north easterly turning northwards on Syke Rd to Burnopfield then westerly on B6310 to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration ofthe Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 10/9/18 and anticipated to be completed in 5 weeks.
(FOOTPATH NO 78 (FEARON WALK), DURHAM CITY) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The effect will be to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 800 mts of Footpath No 78 between its junctions with Elvet Bridge and the path adj to the Count's House leading to Prebends Bridge & South Bailey, Durham to enable footpath resurfacing / general maintenance works to be undertaken. Alternative route: from the northern side of the closure from Footpath no 78 via the link onto Elvet Bridge and continuing west onto Saddler St. then south from Saddler St. onto North then South Bailey to Prebends Bridge and the link path leading to the Count's House to the southern side of the closure and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 10/9/18 and anticipated to be completed in 3 weeks.
(FOOTPATH NO 70 CONSETT PARISH, SHOTLEY GROVE WEIR) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The effect will be to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 160 mts of Footpath No 70, Consett Parish that extends southwards from its junction with Footpath No 71 adj to Shotley Grove Weir to enable new fish-pass construction works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the northern side of the closure from Footpath No 70 south westerly on Footpath No 71 and continuing southerly on Footpath No 17 Shotley Parish and a link onto Footpath No 70 Consett Parish to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 10/9/18 and anticipated to be completed 6 weeks. (FOOTPATH NO 36 DURHAM (REAR FOUNTAINS HALL, HOLLINGSIDE LANE TO MOUNTJOY CENTRE, DURHAM UNIVERSITY SCIENCE PARK), DURHAM CITY) ORDER 2018
The effect will be to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 76 mts of Footpath No 36 between the rear of Fountains Hall, Hollingside Lane and the Mountjoy Centre, Durham University Science Park to enable footpath improvement/upgrade works to be undertaken. The alternative route is from the rear of Fountains Hall, Hollingside Lane to the Mountjoy Centre, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The works are expected to commence on 10/9/18 and anticipated to be completed in 6 months
(VIGO LANE - PICKTREE LODGE, CHESTER-LE-STREET) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) and Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Gateshead Council to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 90 mts of the contiguous footway to the south side of the Vigo Lane road that extends in a westerly direction from its junction with the access road to Pickree Lodge to its junction with C8 Vigo Lane, and 50 mts of Footpath No. 31 North Lodge Parish that extends generally southwards from its junction with Picktree Lodge road to enable bridge infill works to be undertaken. The alternative route is via temporary footpaths created east and north of the footway described above. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 8/9/18 and anticipated to be completed in 6 months.
On occasions, alternative dates for the above 5 closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(C18 DEERNESS BRIDGE & BROADGATE FORD ROAD, USHAW MOOR) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION REVOCATION ORDER 2018
The County Council of Durham intend in not less than 7 days hereof to make a Revocation Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which when coming into force will have the effect of revoking the previous 2 orders in place; being: The County Council of Durham (C18 Deerness Bridge & Broadgate Ford Road, Ushaw Moor) (Temporary Road Closure, One-Way, Weight Limit & Speed Restriction) Order 2016 & (C18 Deerness Bridge, Ushaw Moor) (Temporary WeightLimit & Speed Restriction) Order 2016, the effects of which were required on safety grounds to regulate traffic to inspect an unsafe bridge and enable bridge replacement works to be executed. The effect of this Revocation Order will come into force on
31/8/18.
