The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen

(Whalley Old Road, Blackburn) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2018

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to close Whalley Old Road from its junction with Florence Street to its junction with Beechwood Road.

The closure is necessary for the following reason: Replacing banging frame and cover.

The Order will come into force on 9th September 2018 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9th September 2018.

The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Whalley Old Road, Beech Street, Brownhill Drive, Whalley New Road

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
