NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, SKIPTON) (DERESTRICTION) ORDER 2018

NOTICE is hereby given that North Yorkshire County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 82(2), 83(2) and 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to remove the 30 mph speed limit (restricted road status) imposed on the following roads in Skipton due to the presence of street lighting - the proposed Order will also revoke in their entirety the existing 1985 and 1986 Derestriction Orders which relate to the Grassington Road/Raikes Road roundabout:-A65 - From a point 149 metres west to a point 105 metres east of Grassington Road roundabout; B6265, Grassington Road - From a point 98 metres north to a point 288 metres south of Grassington Road roundabout; Raikes Road - From its junction with Grassington Road roundabout, to a point 87 metres south west of that junction; White Hills Lane - From the north junction of Raikes Road, to a point 148 metres north west of that junction. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton and at Skipton Library, High Street, Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 1JX during normal office hours
