The said restriction is required due to foot way reconstruction and resurfacing works and to allow traffic to continue to use | said road whilst maintaining a safe working zone while the works are taking place. The said restriction will come into force on the 20th August 2018 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed as per the above schedule.
