(A59 WHALLEY CLITHEROE BYPASS, PENDLE ROAD, CLITHEROE AND CLITHEROE ROAD, PENDLETON

(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) NOTICE 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 30 MPH over that length of A59 Whalley Clitheroe Bypass from its junction with A671 Pimlico Link Road to its junction with A671 Whalley Road in the Borough of Ribble Valley.

No speed limit imposed by this (order) (notice) applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow highway development works to be carried out.

The prohibition will be operative from 0001 hours on Monday 6th August 2018 until 2359 hours on Sunday 3rd February 2019 or until completion of the works within this period.
