LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(A59 WHALLEY CLITHEROE BYPASS, PENDLE ROAD, CLITHEROE AND CLITHEROE ROAD, PENDLETON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to proceed over the following lengths of highway;



i. Pendle Road, Clitheroe from its junction with A59 Whalley Clitheroe Bypass to its junction with Worston Road.



ii. Clitheroe Road, Pendleton from its junction with A59 Whalley Clitheroe Bypass to its junction with Main Street.



2. The prohibition will be operative from 0001 hours on Monday 6th August 2018 until 2359 hours on Sunday 3rd February 2019 or until completion of the works within this period.



3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-



Pendle Road Diversion 1

Pendle Road - Shawbridge Street - A671 Waterloo Road - A671 Queensway - A671 Whalley Road Diversion 2

Pendle Road - Shawbridge Street - A671 Waterloo Road - A671 Chatburn Road - A671 Pimlico Link Road Clitheroe Road

Main Street - A59 Whalley Clitheroe Bypass and vice versa
