LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(A6119 WHITEBIRK ROUNDABOUT AND A678 BLACKBURN ROAD NORTH, RISHTON,

HYNDBURN BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the Borough of Hyndburn;



i. A6119 Whitebirk Roundabout from its junction with A678 Blackburn Road in a clockwise direction until its junction with A678 Blackburn Road South.



ii. A678 Blackburn Road North from its junction with A6119 Whitebirk Roundabout to its boundary with the Blackburn With □arwen.



2. The prohibition will be operative nightly from 2200 hours to 0500 hours from Monday 13th August 2018 until Friday 17th August 2018 or until completion of the works within this period.



3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic (except HGVs) affected by the closure will be locally signed



4. An alternative route for HGVs affected by the closure will be locally signed.
