CITY OF YORK COUNCIL

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 26th day of July 2018 in respect of the location Numbered (1) and on the same day in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Act made an Order in respect of each of the locations numbered (2), (3), (4) and (5).

(1) A19 AND FORDLANDS ROAD, YORK This Order continues in force The York (A19 and Fordlands Road) (Temporary Traffic Restriction) Order 2018 (original Order) that Order having an expiry date on the 27th day of July 2018. This is necessary to ensure that the carriageway construction works being undertaken thereon can be carried out safely. The effect of the Order is to continue in force the prohibition on pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footway on (i) A19 (Main Street, Fulford/Selby Road, York) York, between its junction with Fordlands Road and the north eastern property boundary line of Stonebridge House and (ii) Fordlands Road, York, between the projected northern property boundary line of No. 151 Main Street, Fulford and a point 120 metres south of the said line (closed footpaths) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on the 28th day of July 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 31st day of August 2018 (danger period) or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. During the works period the prohibition will only be in place on one side of each footpath at one time, with the opposite footpath been used as an alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles.

(2) VARIOUS ROADS, YORK This Order prohibits, where necessary, vehicles from proceeding and waiting at any time in the whole or in any length of a road listed in the schedule below (restricted roads) between such times and on such dates during the validity of the Order as shall be determined by the Council in order to safely and effectively carry out carriageway resurfacing works. Relevant times and dates will be notified in writing to occupiers of premises adjacent to a restricted road not less than 48 hours before the said prohibition comes into effect in that road. The Order will commence on 30th day of July 2018 and expires on 31st day of August 2018 or when all works have been completed whichever is the earlier. An alternative route for diverted traffic for the respective locations will be signed where applicable/ appropriate. It is envisaged that the works at each location will be undertaken between the dates listed in the Schedule below and with the exception of Moor Lane, Haxby; Fetter Lane and Church Lane, Huntington will be undertaken between 9.15am and 5.00pm during the validity of the Order. In Moor Lane, Haxby it is envisaged that the works will be undertaken between 9.30am and 4.30pm and in Fetter Lane and Church Lane, Huntington between 8.30am and 5.30pm. SCHEDULE

(3) VINE STREET, YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Vine Street, York between its junction with Cherry Street and Teck Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 30th day of July 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 3rd day of August 2018 (works period) or on at a date when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.

(4) GRANGE CLOSE-THE VALE, SKELTON This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of footpath connecting Grange Close and The Vale, Skelton (closed footpath) during the period when electricity replacement works being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001hrs on the 3rd day of August 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 31st day of August 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.

(5) PICCADILLY, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Piccadilly, York between its junctions with Mill Street and Lead Mill Lane (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 30th day of July 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 1st day of August 2018 (works period) or on at a time when nearby demolition works being undertaken adjacent to the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
