Notice of Confirmation of a Modification Order Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Dorset County Council County of Dorset Definitive Map and Statement of Rights of Way Dorset County Council (A Restricted Byway, Bridport at Donkey Lane) Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2018 On 18 May 2018 the Dorset County Council confirmed (without modification) the above named order as unopposed. The effect of the order as confirmed will modify the definitive map and statement for the area, in the parish of Bridport in the West Dorset District, by adding to them:-
A Restricted Byway at Bridport in the West Dorset District: (To be numbered Restricted Byway 47, Bridport)
From its junction with the B3162 Dottery Road, north west of 224 North Allington Road at SY 46109391, east and east south east along a tarmac surfaced path (known as Donkey Lane), running parallel with the Allington parish boundary, to SY 46149390, north west of Meadowside. Continue east south east along a concrete surfaced path to its junction with Footpath 4, Allington, north of Meadowside at SY 46169390 and east south east to its junction with Footpath 3, Allington, north east of Meadowside at SY 46179389. Continue east south east, (via SY 46179389), across an area of grass with trees and shrubs, passing to the north of 75b Court Orchard Road, to its junction with Court Orchard Road at SY 46209387, then east south east, continuing to the Allington parish boundary, north of 79 Orchard Crescent at SY 46269387. Width: variable between 7 to 12 metres as shown shaded cross hatched on the Order plan 16/17/6.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. The order came into effect on 18 May 2018. If any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, you may within six weeks from 26 July 2018, make an application to the High Court. The above Order, made on 2 July 2018, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the parish of Charmouth in the West Dorset District by-Deleting from them Part of Footpath 14, Charmouth:
From the unaffected part of Footpath 14, on the northern edge of a grass field, south south west of the property Gulls Flight, Charberry Rise at SY 35879331, north west and north north west, passing through the properties Gulls Flight and Vallemar to SY 35789337 (no recorded width). Adding to them Part of Footpath 14, Charmouth:
From the unaffected part of Footpath 14, on the northern edge of a grass field, south south west of the property Gulls Flight, Charberry Rise at SY 35879331, north west, running parallel with the northern field boundary, to SY 35799331, then north north west along a gravel and grass surfaced path between fences/walls/ hedges, passing to the west of the property Vallemar, to its junction with Old Lyme
Road at SY 35779338.
The width varies: 2.5 metres at SY 35879331, 3.4 metres at SY 35799331, narrowing to 3.05 metres between SY 35799331 and SY 35779338 then widening to 4 metres
at SY 35779338.
Please note that this path is currently closed by a permanent Traffic Regulation Order in the interest of public safety, due to landslips.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Carol McKay, Senior Definitive Map Officer, Regulation Team, Dorset Highways, Dorset County Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1XJ (Ref: RW/T547) not later than 7 September 2018, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. Any letters received will be made available for public inspection.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Dorset County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it. Dated: 26July 2018.
