ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE GIBSON ROAD THE POOLE (GIBSON ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under The Highways Act 1980, The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, the effect of which is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along that part of Gibson Road affected by the works, i.e., from outside Nos. 4/6 and No. 9 to its junction with Kingsmill Road. Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor.

Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis. A diversion will be signed. The closure is required for a repair to a sewer The proposed Order is effective from Monday 20 August 2018 until Friday 24 August 2018. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.

If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
