Alternative route via C136 Studley Lane - A4 - C365 London Road - C112 Stanley Lane and vice versa. This Order, which previously came into operation on 21 February 2018 will now recommence on 27 July 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 29 July 2018. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Phase One: (a) Woodlands Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Canterbury Street to its junction with Loyalty Street; (b) Brook Street (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Woodlands Road to its junction with Redland. Phase Two: (c) Brook Street (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Woodlands Road to its junction with Redland, to enable Wessex Water to undertake works to install new surface water sewer and foul water sewer in the carriageway. Alternative routes: closures (a) and (b) via Brook Street (unaffected length)/Redland - Hungerdown Lane - Sheldon Road - Woodland Road (unaffected length) - Loyalty Street - Marshall Street - Canterbury Street and vice versa. Closure (c) via Brook Street (unaffected length)/Redland -Hungerdown Lane - Sheldon Road - Woodland Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 26 July 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required from 26 July 2018 until 17 August 2018 (phase one) and from 17 August 2018 until 7 September 2018 (phase two). Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Shalbourne) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that on 10 July 2018 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Burr Lane - from its junction with Kingston road and Rivar Road to the boundary between properties known as The Croft and Nutkin Thatch; Cutting Hill - from its junction with Ham Road for a distance of 71 metres in a north easterly direction; Ham Road - from its junction with Mill Lane and Kingston Road to a point 17 metres east of the boundary between property Nos. 8 and 8 Kew Gardens; Kingston Road and Little Mead - the complete lengths; Mill Lane - from its junction with Ham Road to a point 177 metres south of its junction with A338 Carvers Hill; Rivar Road - from its junction with Burr Lane to a point 122 metres south east of the boundary between properties known as Apple Tree Cottage and Wicket House. A copy of the Order and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Notice is hereby given that on 10 July 2018 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Windsor Drive in the Town of Devizes and Parish of Roundway) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 1995 and The County of Wiltshire (London Road, Roundway and Bishops Cannings) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2001 and re-eanct them, in part, in the above Order 2 and to introduce a 30mph speed limit on A361 London Road - from a point 20 metres south west of its junction with Windsor Drive to a point 335 metres north east of that junction; Windsor Drive -from its junction with A361 London Road to a point 20 metres south east of its junction with Kingsmanor Wharf. A copy of the Orders and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
