TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 41494 DOWNEND (HORSLEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council have made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 41494 Downend from its junction with Horsley Hill to its junction with Stevens Way for a distance of approximately 263 metres. The reason for the closure is for gas mains reinforcement.

Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road will be maintained. Emergency access can not be maintained due to insufficient width of carriageway.

The reason for the closure is for carriageway resurfacing.

The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 1stAugust2018 where the presence ofapproved signage will indicate whether the closure is in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closure taking effect. This order can permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th September 2018..
