Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath 2, Christchurch
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Footpath No 2, Christchurch from grid reference E,415461 N,93786 to grid reference E,415527 N,94019, a distance of approximately 250 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 10th July 2018, for a period of 26 weeks. However, it is anticipated the works will be complete by the 17th August 2018. This order can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This closure is required to allow the Environment Agency safe access to carry out construction works.
