BURGH HEATH ROAD (B284) EPSOM TEMPORARYPROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Burgh Heath Road (B284) as extends from apoint in line with the southeasternproperty boundary of property No. 79 Burgh Heath Road, for adistance of 150 metres in a southeasterly direction and/or any part and/or parts therein. Southeastbound vehicular traffic will be diverted via Burgh Heath Road, Downs Road and Grandstand Road; northwestbound vehicular traffic will be diverted via Burgh Heath Road, Longdown
Lane South, College Road, Alexandra Road, Upper High Street and Church Street.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to create anew water connection. These works areanticipated to be completed within 4days, between 07.00hrs and 16.30hrs, during the 6month period of operation of this Order which commences on 6August 2018. The closurewill stay in force 24 hours per day however advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closurewill only operate when the relevant traffic
signs aredisplayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, businesses and emergency vehicles will be maintained via the signed diversion route.

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), the effect
of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the
lengths of roadsspecified in The Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out winter damage
resurfacing works and/or major highway maintenance, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Orderwhich commences on 3August2018. Advanced
warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the
relevant traffic signs aredisplayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highways during these works will be removed to asuitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner The Council aresatisfied that in accordance with Sections 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of
the Act, vehicular access to premises within the affected lengths of roads in the Schedule to this Notice, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted for avoiding
danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing the likelihood of any
such danger arising.
THE SCHEDULE
(a) that length of Ashley Road (B290) Epsom as extends from its junction with Ashley Avenue to its junction with Worple Road; works areanticipated to be complete within 3

nights, between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs. Access to premises within the affected length
of Ashley Road, including access by emergency vehicles to these properties, will be
maintained at all times as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Southbound vehicular traffic will be diverted via Ashley Avenue, South Street, High Street (Epsom), Church Street, Downs Road and Ashley Road; northbound vehicular traffic will be diverted via Ashley Road, Downs Road, Church Street and High Street (Epsom);
(b) the entirelength of the circulatory carriageway comprised in the roundabout situated at the junction of Burgh Heath Road (B284), Fir Tree Road (B291), YewTreeBottom Road (B284), Old London Road (C194) and Grandstand Road (D2182) Epsom eastwards for adistance of 120 metres. Works areanticipated to be completed within 2days, between 07.00hrs and 17.00hrs. Access for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and

cyclists will be maintained at all times; access for residents and businesses will be
maintained via the signed diversion route. Vehicular traffic will be diverted as follows:-Grandstand Road/Old London Road: Tattenham Corner Road, Tattenham Crescent,
Great Tattenhams and Reigate Road.
Burgh Heath Road: Burgh Heath Road, Downs Road, Tattenham Corner Road,
Tattenham Crescent, Great Tattenhams and Reigate Road.
Longdown Lane South: College Road, Reigate Road, Great Tattenhams, Tattenham
Crescent and Tattenham Corner Road.
Fir Tree Road: Reigate Road, Great Tattenhams, Tattenham Crescent and Tattenham
Corner Road.
YewTreeBottom Road: Reigate Road, Great Tattenhams, Tattenham Crescent,
Tattenham Corner Road, Downs Road and Burgh Heath Road;
(c) that length of Hook Road (B284) Epsom as extends from its junction with Parkview

Waytoits junction with Long Grove Road. Works areanticipated to be completed within 5days, between 09.00hrs and 16.30hrs. Access to premises within the affected length
of Hook Road, including access by emergency vehicles to these properties, will be
maintained at all times as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Southbound vehicular traffic will be diverted via Hook Road, Chessington Road, Kingston Road, High Street,
Cheam Road, Ewell By-Pass, Epsom Road, East Street and Hook Road. Northbound
vehicular traffic will be diverted via Hook Road, East Street, Epsom Road, Ewell By-
Pass, Cheam Road, High Street, Spring Street, Chessington Road and Hook Road.
Vehicular traffic from Chantilly Waywill be diverted via Horton Lane and Hook Road;
(d) the entirelength of the circulatory carriageway comprised in the roundabout situated

at the junction of Tattenham Corner Road (B290), Old London Road (N6003) and Old
London Road (C194) Epsom. Works areanticipated to be completed within 2nights, between 07.00hrs and 17.00hrs; access for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and
cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be
maintained via the signed diversion route. Eastbound vehicular traffic will be diverted
via Tattenham Corner Road, Downs Road, Burgh Heath Road, YewTreeBottom Road, Reigate Road, Great Tattenhams, Tattenham Crescent, and Tattenham Corner Road.
Westbound vehicular traffic will be diverted via Tattenham Corner Road, Tattenham
Crescent, Great Tattenham, Reigate Road, YewTreeBottom Road, Burgh Heath Road, Downs Road and Tattenham Corner Road;
(e) that length of High Street (B2200) Ewell as extends from its junction with Spring Street to its junction with London Road; works areanticipated to be completed within 5 nights, between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs. Access for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be

maintained via the signed diversion route. Southbound vehicular traffic will be diverted
via Ewell By-Pass, Cheam Road, High Street, Spring Street and Chessington Road;
northbound vehicular traffic will be diverted via Cheam Road, High Street, Spring Street,
Chessington Road Kingston Road and London Road;
(f) that length of Spring Street (B2200) Ewell as extends from its junction with High Street to its junction with Chesington Road; works areanticipated to be completed

within 2nights, between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs; access to premises within the affected length of Spring Street, including access by emergency vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Vehicular traffic
will be diverted via Cheam Road, Ewell By-Pass, Epsom Road, East Street, Hook Road and Chessington Road.

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which
will be to:
a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Langley Vale Road

(D2251), Epsom Downs that extends from the southernside of its junction with Ashley Road (B290), southwards for adistance of 200 metres. Vehicular traffic will be diverted
via Langley Vale Road, Headley Road, Wilmerhatch Lane, Woodcote Green Road, Woodcote Road, Avenue Road, Worple Road, Ashley Road and Langley Vale Road.
b) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the north-westbound

carriageway of Dirdene Gardens (D2124), Epsom that extends from its junction with East Street (A24), to the northernside of its junction with The Stanfords. Vehiculartraffic
will be diverted via Dirdene Gardens, Providence Place, Church Road and East Street.
This Traffic Order is required to enable maintenance and/or highway works on behalf of
Surrey County Council, including concrete repairs to "Epsom Racecourse Bridge". These works areanticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the eighteen
month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1August2018.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate
when the relevant traffic signs aredisplayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and
equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses on the
affected lengths of road described in parts a) and b) above will be maintained wherever
reasonably possible under direction of abanksman. Emergency services, HGVs and buses will be required to follow the diversion routes described in paragraph 1tothis Notice. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to asuitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle'sowner.
