NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have,under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1103 Moreton Road FromA49, Moreton-On-Lugg , Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibittheusebyvehicleson:-TheC1103 Moreton Road From A49, Moreton-On-Lugg, Grid Ref: 348868 / 244817. The U73007 Upper Lyde Road, Moreton-on-Lugg, Grid Ref:

349343 / 244932. The alternative routes for those affected

bythe proposal are:-C1103 Moreton Road from A49 -via theA49 south ontotheA4103 ontotheA4110and vice versa. U73007 Upper Lyde Road - via Lower Bewdley Bank ontotheA49 ontotheA4103ontotheA4110ontoUpper Lyde Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the construction of passing bays and a new access to the quarry works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 23rd of July 2018 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 weeks.
