THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARYCLOSING OF COATES ROAD, ELSTREE) ORDER 2018
NOTICE is given thatthe Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section
14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using thatlength of
Coates Road, Elstree from its junction with Sullivan Waynorth eastwards to its junction with
Dylan Close ("the Road"), adistance of approximately 125 metres.
An alternative route will be via Sullivan Way, A5183 Elstree Hill South and Coates Road.
The Order is needed because the installation of new telecom chambers and ducts are proposed
to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 July 2018 for aperiod of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
Acopy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
