The orders are operative from 20 July 2018 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works requiring (1) the road closure will be completed overnight on 4 separate phases throughout the approx 9 month contract; (2) the works requiring the prohibition of right turns will be completed in 2 phases within the approx 9 month contract. Pedestrian access will be available at all times including a covered walkway under the works area; emergency vehicle access will be available through the closed section of carriageway with a short delay to move plant. The road closures are required to allow scaffolding to be erected in the carriageway, works to the bridge will be carried out with the road open but with two-way traffic signals. Overnight closures will not impinge upon first and last bus services.
