CITY OF YORK COUNCIL

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 5th day of July 2018 in respect of each of the locations Numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the location numbered (4).

(1) SANDYRIDGE & BOUTHWAITE DRIVE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of (i) Sandyridge, York and (ii) Bouthwaite Drive, York (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0830hrs and ending at 1730hrs on the 9th day of July 2018 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.

(2) GROSVENQR ROAD, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from waiting from 10am to 10pm in unrestricted lengths on the south side of Grosvenor Road, York between its junctions with Bootham Crescent and the service road to Grosvenor Park (restricted road) and, in addition, the Order imposes a prohibition on vehicles from proceeding between the said times in the restricted road during the period from 7th day of July 2018 to 31st day of May 2019. This is because of the likelihood of danger arising. It is envisaged that the restrictions and prohibition will only be put in place on the occasion of a football match or sporting event at the adjacent football stadium and only for such period within the specified times as is necessary to ensure safety. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via: Burton Stone Lane, Clifton, Bootham Crescent and vice versa.

(3) WETHERBY ROAD, YORK



This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath on Wetherby Road, York between a point 140 metres east of the roundabout controlled junction with the A1237 and a point 80 metres west of the said roundabout (closed footpath) during the period when nearby carriageway improvement works being undertaken thereon have been completed, commencing at 0001hrs on the 7th day of July 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 31 st day of December 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.

(4) A19 (SELBY ROAD), YORK



This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of A19 (Selby Road), York between its junctions with A64 (Leeds-Scarborough) and Fordlands Road (closed road) during the period commencing at 2100hrs

on the 23rd day of July 2018 and ending at 0600hrs on the 27th day of July

2018 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken on the A19 have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the works and closure will only be put into effect during an overnight period, between 2100hrs and 0600hrs on each night during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
