Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1098 Bishopstone To C1097, Bishopstone, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1098 Bishopstone To C1097, Bishopstone, from Fiddlers Cottage to the junction with the C1097. Grid Ref: 341361 / 243211. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1097 onto the C1099 onto the A480 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the safe access to reset a defective frame and cover in carriageway and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 2nd of August 2018 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
