ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (WASH LANE, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2018 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Wash Lane, Bury - between Parsonage Street and St Paul's Street.
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate Openreach access to underground
structure for connection to new customer.
The alternative route will be via Bond Street, Rochdale Road, Derby Way and Moorgate and vice-versa.
The proposed Order will come into operation on Sunday 08 July 2018 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 1 day. Dated 28 June 2018 Council Solicitor

The reason for the proposed order is to focilitate the delivery of a crawler crane and
to enable sewer connection works to be carried out.
The alternative route will be via Crow Lane, Bridge Street and Ramsbottom Lane and vice-versa.

A copy of the Order (including the exemptions contained in it) which comes into operation on 29 June 2018 and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be inspected at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury BL9 0EJ. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 29 June 2018 apply to the High Court for that purpose.
