Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: A438 From Hagley Hill To River Frome, Bartestree, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A438 From Hagley Hill To River Frome, Bartestree, outside new housing development. Grid Ref: 356767 / 241099. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A465 onto the A4103 onto the A417 onto the A438 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the carrying out of remedial works following resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th of July 2018 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
