ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 BRIDLEWAY NO. 37

THE POOLE (BRIDLEWAY NO. 37) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists on the said Bridleway should be prohibited and intends to make an Order not less than seven days from the date of this Notice in exercise of its powers under The Highways Act 1980, The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, the effect of which is that no person or vehicle shall proceed along Bridleway No. 37 - Guest Avenue to Cornelia Crescent. The proposed closure is required for health and safety while work by SSE is undertaken for the installation of cabling
The proposed Order is effective from Monday 9 July
2018 to Thursday 12 July 2018. The Order is operative
for the period mentioned above but will continue in
force for the statutory period of six months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory
period the Order may be extended with the approval of
the Secretary of State for Transport.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in
contravention of the Order will be liable on summary
conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
