(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date
of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to
all vehicular traffic on a 965 metre length of Sedgefield Station
Lay-by and a 220 metre length of Sandybank lay-by, off A689
west of Sedgefield by reason of new water mains works to be
undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure
under the Order is 18 months and is required from 09/07/18 for
the duration of the works anticipated to be 7 weeks. However,
on rare occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary
and these will be signed accordingly. An alternative route will
not be signed to vehicular traffic, but access will be maintained
to the properties at Sedgefield Station by phasing the works to
allow access from one end of the lay-by or the other.
