The Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (England) Regulations 2003
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council has adopted a Scheme of Members' Allowances for the 2015/16 financial year. The scheme sets a basic allowance of £5,048 per annum and also sets out the level of special responsibility allowance for the Chairman of the Management Committee, briefholders, Chairman of Council, chairmen of committees and independent members of the Harbour Management Board. The scheme also sets out travelling, subsistence and carers' allowances. In determining the scheme the Council had regard to the recommendations of an independent remuneration panel.
