THE M5 MOTORWAY (JUNCTIONS 26-27) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (a) has made an Order on the M5 motorway between Junctions 26 and 27 in Somerset and Devon to enable resurfacing, white lining, loop cutting, bridge joint works, surveys and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take place overnights (8.00pm -6.00am) on or after 18 June 2018 and be completed by 10 September 2018. The effect of the Order will be to authorise the overnight closure of:
(i) the northbound and southbound carriageways of the M5 between the exit and entry slip roads at Junction 27.
(ii) the southbound entry slip road at M5 Junction 26
(iii) the northbound exit slip road at M5 Junction 26;
(iv) the southbound exit slip road at M5 Junction 27
(v) the northbound entry slip road at M5 Junction 27 There will also be hard shoulder running and lane closures through the works.
During the closures traffic will be diverted via Junctions of the M5 and local roads. The carriageway closures (which will not apply to emergency services and works vehicles), and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works period and will only apply when traffic management measures are in place.
The Order will come into force on 16 June 2018 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
