THE M6 MOTORWAY (JUNCTIONS 21 & 21A) AND M62 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 10) SLIP ROADS & LINK ROADS [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M6 and M62 Motorways, in the Borough of Warrington, in the County of Cheshire, to enable sign replacement and other general maintenance works; to be carried out in safety, (a) The Order will ban all traffic from the following sections of the M6 Motorway:

i. the northbound exit slip road at Junction 21;



ii. the northbound link road at Junction 21 A, leading to the M62 eastbound carriageway;



iii. the southbound link road at Junction 21 A, leading to the M62 eastbound carriageway.



(b)The Order will ban all traffic from the following sections of the M62 Motorway:

i. the M62 eastbound link road at Junction 10, leading to the M6 northbound carriageway;



ii. the M62 eastbound link road at Junction 10, leading to the M6 southbound carriageway;



iii. the M62 westbound link road at Junction 10, leading to the M6 northbound carriageway;



iv. the M62 westbound link road at Junction 10, leading to the M6 southbound carriageway.



The prohibitions are expected to take place overnight between 22:00 hours and 05:00 hours (continuing to 07:00 hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings) during a period starting on Friday 20 July 2018 and ending on Friday 27 July 2018. However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights until completed. Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M6 and M62 Motorway and local roads will be well signed.

The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will be indicated by traffic signs, and will not apply to emergency services, works, or traffic officer vehicles.
