Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council,
as highway authority, intend, under its relevant
powers, to make the U71235, The Doward From
Hawthorn Cottage To Horse Pool Lane, Symonds
Yat Temporary Closure Order 2018 to temporarily
prohibit the use by vehicles on the U71235, The
Doward From Hawthorn Cottage To Horse Pool
Lane, Symonds Yat, outside Highbury. OS Grid Ref:
351226 / 245858. The alternative route for those
affected by the proposal is via Mine Pitts Lane
onto May Bush Lane onto Horse Pool Lane onto
Sandiway Lane and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to the renewal of
an existing water stop tap works and the likelihood
of danger to the public while the works are taking
place. The said closure will come into force on
4th July 2018 and may remain in force for a
maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended
with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the
works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
