ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984- SECTION 14(1)(a) THE A49 TRUNK ROAD (LEOMINSTER TO WOOFFERTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A49 Trunk Road, between Leominster and Woofferton, in the District of the County of Herefordshire and the County of Shropshire, to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to -
(1) close theA49 between its roundabout junction with the A44 Mill Street, at Leominster, and its junction with the B4362 Station Road, at Woofferton;
(2) close any layby adjacent to the length of the A49 described in (1) above; and
(3) prohibit any vehicle from entering or leaving the length of the A49 described in (1) above at its junction with any side road.

The work will be carried out over one night between 22:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Thursday 21 June 2018. The Order will come into force on Monday 18 June 2018. The layby closures will be in operation from 22:00 hours on Wednesday 20 June 2018 and will continue for 24 hours per day for the duration of the works. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures and prohibition. Access to properties will be maintained at all times. A diversion route via the A44, the B4361 and the B4362 will be signed.
