TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH

NUMBER BSC/26 SOUTH CERNEY PARISH COTSWOLD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council have made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14,15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath BSC/26 from near its junction with Public Bridleway BSC/46 extending in a generally north north-easterly direction for approximately 450 metres to its junction with Cerney Wick Lane. The closure is necessary to facilitate the replacement of two pedestrian bridges, as well as to improve the footpath surface. The Order will come into force on the 18th June 2018 and it is anticipated that the public right of way will close on that day until 2nd July 2018. However, this Order can authorise the closure of BSC/26 for up to six months. After this period if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time. The alternative route is via the Spine Road and Cerney Wick Lane.

Emergency access will be maintained, however it will not be possible to maintain pedestrian access. Date: 14th June 2018 Head of Legal Services
