M25 MOTORWAY (JUNCTIONS 16 TO 15) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Buckinghamshire, the London Borough of Hillingdon, and the Unitary Authority of Slough, under Section 14(1)(a) and 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order is, in phases, to:-
1. authorise the overnight closure of the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 between Junction 16 (M40 Junction 1A) and Junction 15 (M4 Junction 4B).
2. impose a 24-hour 50mph speed limit and narrow lanes on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between a point 640 metres south of the A4007 overbridge and a point 540 metres south of the B470 overbridge.
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake parapet damage, associated repair works, highways maintenance works and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 15 months starting on or after Thursday 14th June 2018. The overnight closures will take place between -Monday-Thursdays 22:00-05:30 Fridays 23:00-06:00
Saturdays 22:00 -06:00 Sundays 22:30 -05:30
(maximum periods).
The Order will come into force on
12th June 2018 and have a maximum duration
of eighteen months.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted
using the M40, A404 and M4.
The temporary speed limit, narrow lanes, closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
