CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 7th day of June 2018 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends tomakean Orderunder Section 14(1) oftheActin respectofeach ofthe locations numbered (7) and (8).

(1) GOODRAMGATE, YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Goodramgate, York between its junctions with Deangate and King's Square (closed road) during the period when footway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 1030hrs on the 11th day of June 2018 and ending at 1700hrs on the 20th day of July 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition will only be put into effect in phases between 1030hrs and 1700hrs, Monday to Friday during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(2) CINDER LANE FOOTBRIDGE, YORK



This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in Cinder Lane footbridge over the railway track (closed footpath) during the period when bridge maintenance works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2100hrs on the 11th day of June 2018and ending at0530hrs on the 14th dayofJune2018(worksperiod)oratatimewhen the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition will only be put into effectbetween 2100hrs and 0530hrson each nightduring the worksperiod. Noalternative route for diverted pedestrians or vehicles will be available during the works period.

(3) BOOTHAM LEVEL CROSSING, YORK



This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through the Bootham Level Crossing on Wigginton Road, York (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2330hrs on the 12th day of June 2018 and ending at 0600hrs on the 13th day of June 2018 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Wigginton Road, Haxby Road, A1237, Wigginton Road and vice versa.

(4) DARLING LANE, ACASTER MALBIS This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Darling Lane, Acaster Malbis (closed road) during the period when telecommunication works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0930hrs on the 11th dayofJune 2018and ending at 1530hrs on the 15th day of June 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(5) BERESFORD TERRACE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Beresford Terrace, York between its junctions with Bishopthorpe Road and Finsbury Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on 12th dayof June 2018and ending at 2400hrs on the 14th day of June 2018 or on a date when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(6) KING STREET, YORK This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath on the northern side of King Street, York between its junction with Nessgate and a point 25 metres south west of the said junction (closed footpath) during the period when nearby building renovation works being undertaken from scaffolding within the closed footpath, commencing at 0001hrs on the 10th day of June 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 25th day of November2018(worksperiod)oratatimewhen theworkshavebeen completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.

(7) HEWORTH GREEN, YORK



This Order will prohibit vehicles from making a left hand turn from Heworth Green in to Mill Lane and proceeding in the south west bound filter lane on Heworth Green, York between its junction with Mill Lane and a point 50 metres north east of the junction (closed traffic lane) during the period commencing at 0930hrs and ending at 1500hrs on the 28th day of June 2018 (works period) or at a time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(8) MUSEUM STREET, YORK



This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Museum Street, York (closed road) during the period commencing at2045hrs and ending at2300hrs on the 19th dayof June 2018 (works period) or at a time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
