ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) & (7) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, A4144 Woodstock Road Temporary Traffic Restrictions Date of Order: 18 June 2018 Coming into force: 25 June 2018 This Order is being introduced because of carriageway footway and cycleway improvements works which are anticipated to take until 9 September complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily introduce the following when appropriate traffic signs indicate:

Extension of the 20mph speed limit (northwards for 320 meters to its junction with Observatory Street)

No Waiting at Any Time - Suspension of the Designated Parking Places, Loading & Unloading: west side from Observatory Street southwards for 154 metres

5 to 8 Road Closure between St. Margarets Road September & St. Giles - access only permitted_

Exemptions re waiting and *road closure are included for emergency services, the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The 'alternative routes for traffic are via: Primary: St Giles - Banbury Road - St Margaret's Road and vice versa.

Secondary: St Giles - Beaumont Street - Walton Street -Kingston Road - St. Margaret's Road and vice versa. The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford Central Area) (Designation and Regulation of Street Parking Places) Order 2002 (as amended) which permit waiting and loading will be suspended when signs indicate. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T5682/AC)
