(B4636 Newtown Road, Worcester) (30 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2018
On 24 May 2018 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which
will be to reduce the speed limit on the following length of road in Worcester to
30 miles per hour:-
B4636 Newtown Road from its existing terminal point 95 metres east of its
roundabout junction with Woodgreen Drive for a distance of 67 metres in an easterly
direction.
There are exemptions in the Order for Special Forces Vehicles.
The Order will come into operation on 14 June 2018.
A copy of the Order, relevant map and Statement of Reasons for making the Order
may be inspected at Worcester City Council, Customer Service Centre, The Hive,
Sawmill Walk, The Butts, Worcester, WR1 3PB, and County Hall, Spetchley Road,
Worcester, WR5 2NP during normal office hours.
(C2138 School Bank, Claines)(Temporary Closure) Order 2018
Order made: to close that part of C2138 School Bank, Claines from its junction with
Vicarage Lane for a distance of 130 metres in a south westerly direction in order to
facilitate Severn Trent works.
Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected
where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative routes: Clockwise: C2138 School Bank, C2138 Danes Green, C2138
Dilmore Lane, A38 Droitwich Road, C2029 Claines Road C2138 School Bank and vice
versa Anti-clockwise: C2138 School Bank, C2029 Claines Road, A38 Droitwich Road,
C2138 Dilmore Road, C2138 Danes Green, C2138 School Bank and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days Commencing:
10 June 2018.
(A4538 Pershore Lane (Northbound), Hindlip)(Temporary Closure) Order 2018
Proposed Order: to close that part of A4538 Pershore Lane (Northbound), Hindlip
from its junction with M5 J6 Warrior Way to its junction with Offerton Lane
Roundabout in order to facilitate duct crossings works.
Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected
where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: A4538 Pershore Lane, A38 Droitwich Road, A4536 Hurst Lane,
A449 Worcester Northern Link and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 7 days Commencing:
28 June 2018.
(U51026 Vauxhall Street & U51025 Church Road, Worcester)(Temporary
Closure & Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2017
Order made: to close that part of U51026 Vauxhall Street & U51025 Church Road,
Worcester in two sections:-
(a) U51026 Vauxhall Street – from its junction with B4550 Astwood Road to its
junction with U51025 Church Road in a north westerly direction.
(b) U51025 Church Road – from its junction with U51026 Vauxhall Road to its junction
with U51025 Mayfield Toad in an easterly direction.
The Order will temporarily suspend the Worcestershire County Council (Church Road
and Vauxhall Street, Worcester)(One-Way Traffic) Order 2017 insofar as it relates to
Church Road and Vauxhall Street for the duration of the works and will allow traffic
to proceed in both directions.
The Order is being made to facilitate footway reconstruction and kerb replacement
works.
Alternative routes – Vauxhall Street: B4550 Astwood Road, U51025 Church Road
and vice versa. Church Road: U51024 Mayfield Road, U51000 Green Lane and B4550
Astwood Road.
Maximum duration: 18 months Anticipated duration: 10 days: Commencing:
11 June 2018.
(C2245 Hopton Lane, Alfrick)(Temporary Closure) Order 2018
Proposed Order: to close that part of C2245 Hopton Lane, Alfrick from its junction
with C2064 Ashfields to its junction with C2065 Hopton Lane to Brockamin in order
to facilitate new cabling ducting by BT Openreach.
Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected
where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2065 Hopton Lane to Brockamin, C2065 Brockamin, C2065
Brockamin to A4103 Bransford, C2064 Suckley Road, C2064 Smith End Green, C2064
Ashfields and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days Commencing:
2 July 2018.
(Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011
(Variation) Order 2018 [Prohibition of Waiting on Ambleside Drive and
Coniston Close, Worcester]
Worcestershire County Council are to consider making an Order the effect of which
will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads
in Worcester:
Ambleside Drive (south west side) from its junction with Coniston Close for a
distance of 11 metres in a north westerly and 10 metres in a south easterly direction.
Coniston Close (both sides) from its junction with Ambleside Drive for a distance of
12.5 metres in a south westerly direction.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil
enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will
contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting
by disabled persons’ vehicles.
A copy of the draft Order, relevant plan and Statement of Reasons for proposing to
make the Order may be inspected at Worcester City Council, Customer Service
Centre, The Hive, Sawmill Walk, The Butts, Worcester, WR1 3PB, and County Hall,
Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP during normal office hours. Any objections/
