Essex County Council -Proposal to expand Broomfield Primary School, Chelmsford
Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Essex County Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to Broomfield Primary School, School Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 7DN. The proposal is to enlarge the school premises to increase its capacity from 315 to 420 places on a phased basis with effect from 1 September 2020.
The current capacity of the school is 315 and the proposed capacity will be 420. The current number of pupils registered at the school is 314. The current admission number for the school is 45 and the proposed admission number will be 60, which will take effect from September 2019, a year ahead of the expansion proposal being implemented.
