ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) & (2) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Footpath No. 295/1 Closure Date of Order: 4 June 2018 Coming into force: 12 June 2018 Commenced under Notice: 22 May 2018 This Order continues in force an emergency closure by notice introduced for public safety due to a damaged bridge over a stream.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath No. 295/1 at the bridge over a stream (located between Merton & Wendlebury).

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises/property which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

The alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure is: (Footpath No.) 298/2/10 - 398/6/10 - 295/3/10 - 295/2/10 - 295/2/20 - 295/8/10 - 295/2/40 - 295/1 /10 and vice-versa. This Orderwill remain in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner Should an extension be required an application will be made for consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
