A2 TRUNK ROAD -NEARNORTHFLEET TEMPORARYTRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A2 Trunk Road in the County of Kent, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works areproposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight closureofthe road connecting the easternroundabout at Ebbsfleet Interchange (A2260) to the northbound carriageway of the B262 at Pepper Hill Interchange (B262). This measureisinthe interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of Openreach undertake cabling works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 4days starting on or after Tuesday 19th June 2018. The overnight closures will take place between 20:00 and 06:00 (maximum period). The Order will come into force on 17th June 2018 and have amaximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic proceeding coast-bound on the A2 and wishing to access the B262 at Pepper
Hill Interchange (B262) will be directed to
continue on the main carriageway at Ebbsfleet Interchange (A2260) to Tollgate Interchange (A227) and return. Traffic joining from the A2260 will be directed to join the coast-bound A2 and follow the diversion above. The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation during the works period.
