ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (CULVER LANE, EARLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018 NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 28th May 2018 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Culver Lane, Earley between its junctions with Wykeham Road and Whitegates Lane. The reason for this prohibition is to enable SGN contractors to undertake essential gas main and associated connection work in safety.
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 28th May 2018 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Culver Lane, Earley between its junctions with Wykeham Road and Whitegates Lane. The reason for this prohibition is to enable SGN contractors to undertake essential gas main and associated connection work in safety.
The alternative route for all westbound vehicles affected by this restriction shall be via Palmer Park Avenue, A329 Wokingham Road and B3350 Church Road. The alternative route for all eastbound vehicles affected by this restriction shall be via B3350 Church Road, A329 Wokingham Road, Grange Avenue and Wykeham Road. Access for residents and businesses within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained at all times. The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed. The restriction shall come into operation on the 4th June 2018 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is, however, anticipated that works requiring this restriction will be completed by 20th July 2018. Dated this 31st May 2018.
