(NORTH ROAD, DURHAM CITY) (BUS GATE) ORDER 2018

(NORTH ROAD, DURHAM CITY) (BUS GATE) ORDER 2018
The Council on 24/5/18 made the above Order, the effects of
which come into operation on 01/06/18 the effect of which will
replace the existing Bus Gate Order 2017 and introduce a Bus
Gate on Unc. 27.6 North Road, Durham which will allow buses,
cycles and taxis only to proceed from its junction with Neville
Street for 5 mtrs in a south easterly direction between 10am -
midnight and midnight to 6am on any day.
Full details are contained in the sealed Orders which may be
inspected at County Hall, Durham Mon-Fri 9am to 4pm; via
the council website and at Durham Clayport Library during
normal opening hours. Any person wishing to question the
validity of the Orders or of any provisions contained in them
on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the
grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation
made under it has not been complied with in relation to the
Orders may, within six weeks from the date of this notice apply
to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
(SUMMERFIELD, WEST PELTON)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date of this
notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic
a 65m length of Summerfield, West Pelton between nos. 1 to 5
by reason of new sewer installation and connection works to be
undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure
under the Order is 18 months and is required from 18/06/18 and
for the duration of the works anticipated to be 4 weeks. However,
on rare occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary
and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: There is
no alternative route available to vehicular traffic during the closure.
(FOOTPATH NOS 3 & 4, OFF TRENT CRESCENT AND
SCORERS LANE, GREAT LUMLEY)
(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date of this
notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all pedestrian
traffic a 230 mtr length of Footpath No 3 that extends northwards
from Trent Cres; and also a 250 mtr length of Footpath No 4 that
extends north eastwards from its junction with Scorers Lane,
Great Lumley by reason of new housing development works to
be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure
under the Order is 6 months and is required from 20/06/18 for the
duration of the works anticipated to be 6 months. However, on rare
occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these
will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: An alternative
route will be available via a temporary pedestrian route extending
around the perimeter of the site either from: (a) Footpath No 3
off Trent Crescent easterly and northerly then westerly; and (b)
Footpath No 4 at its junction with Scorers Lane, northerly on
Scorers Lane then easterly along a temporary pedestrian route to
the northern traffic side of the closures, and vice versa.
(BEECHDALE ROAD, ELMDALE ROAD,
OAKDALE ROAD, CONSETT)
(20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2018
The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84 & 87
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to
introduce a 20mph ZONE on Beechdale Road from 15m north
east of junction with Ashdale Road north easterly for its entire
length, Elmdale Road from 14m north of junction with Ashdale
Road northerly for its entire length and Oakdale Road from
10m north east of junction with Ashdale Road north easterly
for its entire length. A copy of the draft Order and supporting
information may be inspected at Consett Library and at County
Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the council
website. Any person who wishes to object to the proposed Order
should send their grounds of objection in writing to Loraine
Holding, Legal Assistant at County Hall, Durham or by email to
highways.orders@durham.gov.uk (ref 18234) by 21/06/18.
(CLAVERING PLACE, NEALE STREET / MITCHELL
STREET AREA, ANNFIELD PLAIN)
(20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2018
The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84 & 87
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is
to introduce: 20mph speed limit on entire lengths of: Clavering
Place, Mitchell Street, Neale Street, Northgate and Spring Close
(including all side streets / back lanes); and (B) part lengths of Unnamed
road linking B6168 Front Street & Neale Street/Mitchell
Street from 8m east of its junction with B6168 Front Street in an
easterly direction for its entire length; and Rear C11 West Road
/ B6168 Station Road from its junction with Clavering Place
easterly to its junction with Northgate (including all side streets /
back lanes). A copy of the draft Order and supporting information
may be inspected at Annfield Plain Library and at County Hall,
Durham during normal opening hours and via the council website.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed Order should
send their grounds of objection in writing to Loraine Holding,
