Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Cowley, Shelley Road, Glanville Road, Cumberland Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 11 June 2018 Coming into force: 18 June 2018 This Order is being introduced because of gas main replacement works which are anticipated to take 6 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding Shelley Road, Glanville Road and Cumberland Road (atthe junctions with the B480 Cowley Road). Anticipated dates: Shelley Road 18 June to 6 July, Glanville Road 25 June to 13 July, Cumberland Road 2 July to 27 July. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for local traffic will be signed accordingly. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref T5532/JaC)
(OXFORD, QUAKING BRIDGE) (7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 29 May 2018 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order, which comes into force on 4 June 2018 makes permanent the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on Quaking Bridge over Castle Mill Stream between Tidmarsh Lane and St Thomas Street, Oxford. This to prevent heavy vehicles continuing to cause deterioration to the bridge and for public safety. Documents giving detailed particulars of the proposed order are available for public inspection at County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND, from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. If you wish to question the validity of this Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from the 29 May 2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
