The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen

(Goose House Lane, Darwen) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2018

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, made the above Order under Section 14 (1)

(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to close Goose House Lane from its junction with Knowle Lane for a distance of 160 metres

The closure is neccessary for the following reason: To extend existing gas network The Order will come into force on 4th June 2018 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until

the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18th June 2018.

The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Goose House Lane, Hollins Grove Street, Blackburn Road,

Dove Lane, Exchange Street, Gordon Street, Chapels Brow, Chapels, Knowle Lane

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians

will be maintained at all times.
