THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN

(A678 BURNLEY ROAD) SIDE ROADS ORDER 2018

The Highways Act 1980 The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council ("the Council") hereby give notice that they have made, and submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, an Order under section 14 of the Highways Act 1980, for authorising the Council to: -

a) carry out improvement to parts of: Gorse Street;



b) stop up parts of: Gorse Street, Unnamed footpath (near Tesco Car Park), Esther Street, Hole House Street



c) stop up the entire length of Kenyon Street all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road at Blackburn (Burnley Road A678) which the Council are proposing to improve and construct between its junction with Burnley Road and Gorse Street, Hole House/Kenyon Street to Thornley Avenue.



Copy of the Order and of the relevant plans may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours from Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council at the reception desk at the Town Hall, King William Street, Blackburn. Any person may, not later than 12th July 2018 object to the confirmation of the Order by notice to the Secretary of State for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE4 7AR, stating the grounds of their objection.
