OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL -ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order: Didcot, Cow Lane Prohibition of vehicles & pedestrians Date of Order: 29 May 2018 Coming into force: 4 June 2018 This Order is being introduced because of kerb maintenance works which are anticipated to take 3 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle using the length of Cow Lane at the railway bridge. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
The pedestrian footway under the railway bridge will also be closed for the duration of the works. There are exemptions for the works and emergency services.
The alternative route for traffic is via Mersey Way, A4130, Abingdon Road, B4016 and Hitchcock Way.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref JaC/T5561)
(VARIOUS ROADS - SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.22) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 28 May 2018 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order, which comes into force on 4 June 2018 further amends the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads - South Oxfordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2008 with the effect of introducing new double yellow lines - No Waiting at Any Time in DIDCOT as follows:
* Hawksworth-throughout its junction with and covering all sides of the junction with Collett, and into the first estate access road on the north side west of Collett;
* Also at the west end of Hawksworth throughout the junctions to the east of the access road to the A4130 (adjacent to Harrier Park).
Documents giving detailed particulars of the order are available for public inspection at County Hall, New Road, Oxford, OX11ND between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday and at Didcot Town Council Information Centre, Didcot Civic Hall, Britwell Road, OX11 7JN, from 9am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and from 9am to 3.45pm on Friday. If you wish to question the validity of this order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from the 29 May 2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
