THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (WARRENERS LANE JUNCTION TO LOW LANE JUNCTION) (TEMPORARY40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the District of Richmondshire, to enable local authority works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start at 7.30am on Thursday 21 June 2018 for 8 days, or until comp eted. The effect of the Order will be to impose, 24 hours a day, a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the, A66:
(i) eastbound and westbound carriageways from Warreners Lane Junction to 750 metres west of Dick Scott Lane Junction, a distance of 4500 metres; and
(ii) westbound carriageway from 750 metres west of Dick Scott Lane Junction westwards for a distance of 1600 metres.

Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). The Order comes into force on 20 June 2018 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
