Proposed development: Land at Field House Farm to the South of Robin Lane, to the South East of West Rainton, North of Low Pittington and West of High Moorsley, Durham. I give notice that: Hargreaves Surface Mining Limited Have appealed to: The Secretary of State on 18th December 2014 against the refusal of Durham County Council dated 30 June 2014 of the planning application dated 30 July 2013. For: The proposed Field House surface mine scheme involving surface mining operations for the winning and working of 514,000 tonnes of coal and up to 83,000 tonnes of fireclay, ancillary site operations with progressive restoration and aftercare to agriculture, broadleaved woodland, hedgerows, water bodies, wetland and low nutrient grassland over a 3 year period. Further information has been submitted in relation to the planning appeal and an Environmental Statement which has already been submitted as part of the planning application.
