(A417 WANTAGE - READING ROAD AND ARDINGTON, LOCKINGE, EAST HENDRED AND WEST HENDRED PARISHES)(SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 18 May 2018 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, which comes into force on 25 May is to introduce a 30mph speed limit on the A417 Reading Road through East Hendred, from a point 40 metres west of its junction with Featherbed Lane, westwards to a point 225 metres west of White Road - a distance of 580 metres. The existing section of 40mph limit is removed for the same length but will remain at either end of the new limit. The Oxfordshire County Council (A417 Wantage - Reading Road and Ardington, Lockinge, East Hendred and West Hendred Parishes) (Speed Limits) Order 2015 will be revoked/replaced.
A copy of the proposed order and detailed documents may be inspected at County Hall, New Road, Oxford, OX1 1ND between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday; and at Didcot Town Council Information Centre, Didcot Civic Hall, Britwell Road, OX11 7JN from 9am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and from 9am to 3.45pm on Friday. (RADLEY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 21 May 2018 Oxfordshire County Council made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order continues in force the provisions of the current Oxfordshire County Council (Radley) (Prohibition of Waiting) (Experimental) Order 2016 which is hereby replaced. The effect of this Order, which comes into force on 29 May is to prohibit Waiting at any time in the following lengths of road:
CHURCH ROAD - both sides of its junction with Foxborough Road and over the bridge into LOWER RADLEY ROAD;
FOXBOROUGH ROAD - both sides for most of the road from its junction with Church Road to its junction with St James Terrace, except short areas opposite Nos.95/97 and outside Nos.104/106;
Also into the junctions with St JAMES TERRACE for 40 metres and STONHOUSE CRESCENT for 13.5metres.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for public inspection at County Hall, New Road, Oxford, OX1 1ND, from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and at Kennington Library Kennington Road OX1 5PG from 2pm to 5.30pm Monday, 10am to 12.30pm Wednesday, 2pm to 7pm Friday, and from 10am to 1pm Saturday. If you wish to question the validity of this order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within 6 weeks from 21 May 2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
