A34 TRUNK ROAD - THREE MAIDS HILL

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the adjacent roads and there is a risk of danger to the travelling public. The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight closure of the slip roads leading to and from the northbound carriageway of the A34 at Three Maids Hill (A272/B3420). This measure is in the interests of road safety while essential civils work, resurfacing and all associated work are carried out by Hampshire County Council on the adjacent A272 roundabout. It is expected that the work will occur in two phases; for one week starting on or after Monday 4th June 2018, and a further one week starting on or after Monday 18th June 2018. The overnight closures will take place between 20:00 and 06:00 (maximum period). The Order will come into force on 2nd June 2018 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using theA34 and A30. The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
