A2 TRUNK ROAD -NEAR NORTH FLEET TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England
Company Limited intends to make an Order
on the A2 Trunk Road in the County of Kent,
under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 because works are
proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise
the overnight closureofthe road connecting the
easternroundabout at Ebbsfleet Interchange
(A2260) to the northbound carriageway of the
B262 at Pepper Hill Interchange (B262).
This measurewould be in the interests of road
safety while contractors working on behalf of
Openreach undertake cabling works.
It is expected that the work would last for
approximately 4days starting on or after
Tuesday 19th June 2018. The overnight
closures would take place between 20:00
and 06:00 (maximum period).
The Order would come into force on
17th June 2018 and have amaximum duration
of eighteen months.
Traffic proceeding coast-bound on the A2 and wishing to access the B262 at Pepper Hill Interchange (B262) would be directed to continue on the main carriageway at Ebbsfleet Interchange (A2260) to Tollgate Interchange (A227) and return. Traffic joining from the A2260 would be directed to join the coast-bound A2 and follow the diversion above. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation during the works period.
