CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 14th day of May 2018 in respect of the location Numbered (1) and on the 17th day of May 2018 in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Act made an Order in respect of each of the locations numbered (2), (3) and (4). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (5), (6), (7), (8), (9) and (10).

(1) ASKHAM BRYAN FOOTPATH NO. 2/9/10, ASKHAM BRYAN
This Order continues in force The Askham Bryan (Askham Bryan Footpath No 2/9/10) (Temporary Traffic Restriction) Order 2017 (original Order) that Order having an expiry date on the 14th day of May 2018. This is necessary to ensure that the closed footpath is fenced off under the terms of the zoo license to help ensure public safety. The effect of the Order is to continue in force the prohibition on pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath known as Askham Bryan Footpath No. 2/9/10 which connects Askham Fields Lane and A64 (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on the 15th day of May 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 15th dayof November 2018 (danger period) or at the end of the danger period whichever is the earlier. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed during the danger period.

(2) PATRICK POOL, YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Patrick Pool, York (closed road) during the period when gas connection works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 21st day of May 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 23rd day of May 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.

(3) NAVIGATION ROAD & PERCY'S ROAD, YORK
This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath on (i) the west side of Navigation Road, York between its junction with Percy's Lane and Rosemary Place (ii) on the north side of Percy's Lane, York between its junction with Navigation Road and a point 70 metres west of the said junction (closed footpath) during the period when footpath reconstruction works being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001hrs on the 21st day of May 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 9th day of July 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the parking areas adjacent to the closed footpaths will be suspended for the duration of the works period. During the works period vehicle movements on Navigation Road and Percy's Lane will be controlled by three way traffic lights. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.

(4) STRENSALL FOOTPATH NO. 3/13/10, STRENSALL
This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Strensall No. 3/13/10 between Strensall No. 3/17/10 and Strensall No. 3/10/10 (closed footpath) during the period when riverbank reconstruction works to being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 19th day of May 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 18th day of November 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed via Sheriff Hutton Road, The Village, Brecks Lane, Strensall No.
3/14/10, Strensall No. 3/15/10, Strensall No. 3/15/20, Strensall No. 3/16/10, Strensall No 3/10/10, Strensall 3/9/20, Duncombe Lane, Sheriff Hutton Road and vice versa. This Order continues the temporary road closure Notice which had an end date of 2400hrs on
the 18th day of May 2018.

(5) WETHERBY ROAD/A1237, YORK

This Order will restrict vehicles to 30 miles per hour (mph) in those lengths of (i) A1237, York between points 530 metres north and 470 metres south of the roundabout controlled junction with Wetherby Road (B1224) and (ii) Wetherby Road (B1224), York between points 350 metres east and 450 metres west of the roundabout controlled junction with A1237 (restricted road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 4th day of June 2018
and ending at 2400hrs on the 3rd day of February 2019 (works period) or at time when roundabout improvement works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.

(6) MANOR LANE, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Manor Lane, York between its junctions with A19 (Shipton Road) and Shipton Road Service road (closed road) during the period commencing at 0915hrs on the 4th day of June 2018 and ending at 1600hrs on the 6th day of June 2018 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(7) FILEY TERRACE, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Filey Terrace, York between its junctions with Hudson Street and Ratcliffe Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 4th day of June 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 8th day of June 2018 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(8) CEMETERY ROAD & HESLINGTON ROAD, YORK

This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath's on (i) Cemetery Road, York between its junction with Heslington Road and a point 20 metres south of it's junction with Heslington Road, (ii) Kent Street, York between its junction with Cemetery Road and a point 15 metres west of it's junction with Cemetery Road, (iii) Barbican Road, York between its junction with Kent Street and a point 25 metres north of it's junction with Kent Street, (iv) Heslington Road, York, between its junction with Barbican Road and a point 15 metres east of it's junction with Barbican Road (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 4th day of June 2018 and ending at 2400hrs on the 29th day of June 2018 (works period) or on a date when Traffic Signal improvement works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the works will be completed in phases and only one section of footpath will be closed at any one time. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.

(9) HOLLY TREE LANE, HAXBY

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Holly Tree Lane, Haxby between its junction with York Road and the projected eastern property boundary line of No. 1 Holly Tree Lane (closed road) during the period commencing at 0900hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 5th day of June 2018 (works period) or at time when works to renew the fire hydrant, being undertaken thereon, have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(10) YORK ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, HAXBY
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through the York Road Level Crossing on Haxby Road, Haxby (closed road) during the period commencing at 2300hrs on 7th day of June 2018 and ending at 0600hrs on the 8th day of June 2018 or at time when track maintenance works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via York Road, A1237, B1363, Mill Lane, The Village, York Road and vice versa.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
